Legal Calif. pot? Some growers bummed
Yeah, that is a load of crap. The best weed I ever smoked came from Vietnam, and that was back in 1975. Even to this day, I have never smoked pot that could match it.

It was more expensive than the others, but worth every dime. :hippy:

The reason MJ is so expensive is because it is illegal! Take that away and yes, it's a plant that anyone can grow themselves...causing the cost to go down.

Then you've got pots, soil, nutes, mylar, pest control, timers, temp gauges, ph testers....etc! It's not something that everyone is going to find worth their time. We are all growers on this thread and do it cause we love it and enjoy it as a hobby. Most people imo would rather just walk into a store and buy a bag of weed and be on their way.
Big time commercial growers may have to lower their prices but that's because they will have more competition since it's legal. But people will also probably be smoking more since the cost is down and it's legal! So commercial growers will still be making money! If they grow good shit, people will buy it!
I think it's a bit big headed for mendocino to claim they have the best bud in the WORLD. They have ideal grow conditions which makes them a great place to grow outdoor. But in the day and age of indoor growing....those natural conditions don't matter much. I've smoked weed from all over....cali, BC, I've even been to Amsterdam....you find quality weed when you find quality growers! And there are people all around the world that love the ganja!

I agree with most of what you said.

i personally think legalizing it is a mistake. i feel like its being presented as a great thing for growers/users/etc but really its a great thing for the government...(at least on the state level)...all its going to do is help finance their lifestyles (you know those pricks make bank and dont do shit to get it).
Im not for legalizing it if it just puts money into the state/gov. which is what they're going to do...they are gonna tax $50 onto every ounce. thats BS.
when we get down to this side of it i'd rather give my money to the grower/middle man dealer involved w/ prop 215 like it is now than give it to some old fat fuck who has only his interests in mind.
i do think it would be good for the users and medicinal patients to make it more widely available and affordable.
growers may have more competition (if just anyone can start up a grow) but i also think they will get more business since its completely legal to posses an ounce for anyone over 21...so i think more MJ users will surface.
not everyone can afford to grow; have the resources (time, money, etc.); or flat out care enough to grow when then can just buy it.
if you think about it anyone can go buy a beer making kit and make their own beer...but how many people do that? instead they go to the store and get their beers there...am i right?
same thing with growing.
the prices will come down but since it would be legal statewide (and assuming your bud is dank) you can simply run ad's on craigslist or wherever (like prop 215 growers do now). you could take your product to flee markets. you could advertise.
so i think if you grow good weed you will always be in business....i just prefer the state/gov not profit off of this as they have thrown people in jail forever for all these offenses...now they will let you go free as long as they profit off your grow... i dont agree with that. that is plain wrong and i hope the people of CA see how shady this all really is.
its not fair to all the people who had to sit in jail and pay fines, etc.

The reason Asian marijuanas are so strong is the concentration of THC-V, which gives the INSTANT hard-hitting head-buzz.

I have a supplier in Weed, CA that has one of the strongest Thai strains and is working on mixing it with PK to make a massive knock-you-out stone weed for those with massive insomnia.
other than that, given enough access to strains I'd be willing to bet I'd be able to create a strain that'd knock your dick into the dirt so hard you'd catch a charge for raping the earth.

I hear what you are saying.....but unfortunately the govt. has their damn fingers in everything! I don't like it either...but if it eliminates the chance of running into a dickhead cop who arrests me for possessing weed....i'm all for it! People should not have their lives torn apart from smoking weed. Even having my 215 card, I still fear being busted for growing....I don't want that fear anymore....I want to be free to live my life as I choose!

I had never heard of THC-V, so I looked it up:

Are you saying cannabis should remain illegal because making it legal isn't fair to all those who have been arrested?

Maybe we should make the greedy growers more bummed by planting seeds at local parks and sidewalks once it passed.
