Neem is not the problem. The problem is that you're not using it correctly. 10:1 mixture is way too much!! Read the directions on the bottle. I think it's 2 TBSP per gallon! Also, did you use an emulsifier (dish soap)? If not your neem treatments are as good as worthless...

I do not and do not advise dish soap as an emulsifier. It contains high levels of phosphates...unless you use a type without.

You still have to survive the damage from the live bugs, the originals. It could be too late.

Look to other reasons besides NEEM. I use a tablespoon in a quart and only spray the bottom of the leaves....too much will plug the stoma's.

Hello, I had a local friend that OD'ed his plants with Neem Oil and it looked like your plants. It cleared up within 10 days and we took his Neem sprayer away so he would not do it again.
I attached some images of munched on indoor plants.

i use neem oil every couple weeks up threw transition. I have never had a bug problem. I vote. DO NEEM OIL. I also use it to clean my instruments and pot covers. I have used it as soap on my body...
By the way 1 to 10 ratio is a lot. I use about 5 to 10 ml per liter of water. That might be why you have bad luck with it.

I am a new member. I have been fighting the spider mites for about a month, saw them 3 weeks into bloom. I grow indoors. I have had them under control but they still exist. I cut them down yesterday and still have about 4 of the plants with a small amount of webbing and of course the mites.

My son tells me that the mites will "leave" as the plant "dies". I don't know about that and trying to see if this is true from this boards experience. Also, I am not to sure what to use as a miticide this close to smoking time.

    Any thoughts?

I use neem oil along with protek as an emulsifier. The protech could be substituted by a lemon scented dish detergent. I use it all the way through the vegging cycle. Neem oil destroys the reproductive cycle of the mite and therefore iradicating the colony over time. I use none during flowering.. I would not put any chemical on the buds this far in the game. You will not even want to smoke the weed. I believe in preventive medicine. You can trust in neem oil if used properly! Hope this was some help to ya!

    Peace!

mmmmm...Nothing like turning my Lemon Skunk into Lemon Neem. (or would that be Skunky Soap?) I'm sure it's an interesting residue of flavor, though.
As with most products, if used incorrectly neem can kill. Likely that's why there's directions on the bottle.
Always raise lights until dry, for any foliar application wheteher a tea or pesticide.
Always rinse residue, or whatever you sprayed can dry and can clog the leaf's respritory pores. (stoma)
Never spray hard enough to do leaf cell damage. A hard-fine spray can cut right through a leaf.
I wonder what the ph of neem is at the correct dilution? (and by extension...what's the ph of imroperly mixed neem?)

Washougal: highly unlikely dishsoap's phosphate concentration would be more than the phosphoric acid I use to adjust my water ph. Matter of fact, my plants love the PO4. (phDown) Regardless, it's water soluable and easily flushed. This is a once or twice treatment, not a weekly scheduled application...but it's nice to see ya bringing the stoma into the discussion. It's role is rather important.
