Detox products
Hey all
May have drug test coming, want to be prepared. I've spent half a day on this forum gathering information. Here's what I think I've learned, please tell me if I'm wrong.
Substitution is best. I'm not into this, going on an interview and not even sure I'll be tested. I'm going with dilution.
The details on the Dilution sticky are excellent, my thanks. And yes, I understand that the detox products are rip offs, in that they don't do anything on their own, they are just the Dilution method. Here's where I want to make sure I've got it straight...it seems that the detox products give you the B2 and the creatine and whatever else you need to avoid getting a "diluted" result, while the water you drink with the product does the diluting. In other words, a detox product will save me the hassle of getting B2 and eating red meat in the days before, downing rolaids, etc....it's "Dilution For Dummies", right? I don't mind dropping a few dollars to make sure i get it right...I would be worried about too much B2, too little creatine, not doing the steps right, it seems like the Detox products will take some of the guesswork out
I think I've got it right, just looking for confirmation of my conclusion. If I am correct, what Detox products have the best reputation? A local shop sells something called "420 Body Clean"...I'd rather get it at the store than in the mail.

FIRST OFF.. THIS IS NOT A QUICK PASS THE NEXT DAY POST
I'll start with my stats.. male...5'8".. 205lbs.. developed belly after college / sports but still fairly athletic, average metabolism. Smoke 1 - 3 one hitters on weekdays with 3 or more bowls on the weekend (sometimes more) over the past year.
The best one I have found and have used to pass a pre-employment test is Qcarbo32 from GNC. This is formulated for detoxing before starting a diet or exercise program and contain what you need to keep your levels in the normal range.
Because I always like to be on the safe side I usually back it up with the red meat a couple days before for creatine and get my system ready the night before with drinking 32oz of water before I go to bed. Three hours before your test start with 16 oz water. About an hour later the qcarbo32, then follow by filling the bottle back up with water and drink that. After an hour, void at least 3 times and you are good to go. When you get there make sure you do not sample the beginning or end of your stream. You are good to go for up to 3 hrs. I wouldn't go any longer than that unless you haven't smoked for 20+ days or smoke much less than me.
Again, I said I am cautious so I test myself before I go and use an adulteration stick to ensure my levels are correct (some kits u can buy come with them, but I have purchased a pack of 25 online for about $25 including shipping). I have never had them be off, but if they are there are things you can do such as drink an energy drink with creatine to raise your level or gatorade to help restore specific gravity which would both giving a diluted result. (you may get a retest if it is, many people return diluted and it does not mean fail.)
Also keep a couple things in mind, the longer you lay off smoking, the better off you will be. Everyone's metabolism, body fat and the way your body processes the Qcarbo32 is different. I also know when my test will be and do have some time to plan and prepare. I have friends who smoke daily and have smoked the night before and passed with detox drinks for employment tests.
I bought two bottles (yeah, 50 a pop) and drank one Monday after not smoking for three days and it returned a negative on a first check home cup test (I like to do a test run to plan my next . My next test isn't until next week so I have some time to do the other stuff like exercise (only up until 2 days before) and eat lean non-fatty foods to get as many of the metabolites out as possible.
It has worked for me in the past and I am using it again as I do not want to run the chance of substituting or using synthetics as some tests have detected them (though just like those who have failed with qcarbo probably didn't use it right).
Sorry for the length, but wanted to cover everything.

Again, for the 1000x, don't listen to people who tout detox products here. There is no detoxing THC for the reasons stated as many times if not more. End of story, especially when it comes to qcarbo.
it seems that the detox products give you the B2 and the creatine and whatever else you need
As for the qcarbo or any detox drink for that matter, you can achieve the EXACT same result by opening the qcarbo, pouring it down the drain along with your hard earned money, and filling it one more time with water than the directions tell you to. If you didn't load up on creatine for a couple of days before the test and depending on how much you drank you'll score a negative/dilute which may or may not lead to another retest.

Bottom line is all detox products (regardless of brand) are nothing but a big scam to prey upon the uninformed and credulous and taking their cash.To view the Board Rules: http://boards.cannabis.com/introduce...ard-rules.html

Thanks
I get it now with the creatine...I'll do the red meat thing in the days before.
I'll still see a niche for a detox product under certain circumstances (such as mine). I'm going on a final interview, don't know if i'll even be tested (or what type of test) and wont be able to choose the time of my test. It seems much easier to spend the $25 one time and have it there in case...probably take it before the interview (after I feel them out as to the length of the interview). Like I said, I wont be in control of the timing, so all the steps in the dilution thread seem too much/dicey.
I can see the $25 being a much bigger deal if you are getting tested regularly.
And of course I will abstain. Starting tomorrow, maybe!
Thanks again for the reminder on the creatine
(I know the very title of this thread is an invitation for sales pitches...sorry for that)

I have nothing to do with qcarbo except use it. I am aware of the creatine needing to take 2 days that is why I included that in my post if you read it. I have used it and so have friends and we have passed. Yes, it may be a little more expensive but buying 2 or 3 bottles of pills costs u money too. Relax tho, im not saying it works for everyone or that it will def work but it has worked for me.
Now that I think about it, you are right though, the creatine level in the energy drink wouldn't help. I posted that because it is part of my friends regiment who has passed about 5 tests with that being a part of it, but again its from what he did the days prior. I also drink one of the drinks before taking the day of. Again, yes expensive, but gives me a little more peace of mind.
Also keep in mind, this is my dillution method. I am not ridding my body of thc and I am well aware of that. Danks asked if anyone knew of any detox drink that worked and I responded with what has worked for me. You can also look up N2's dillution method on marijuana.com and that is good too.

Because they work by dilution, spending huge sums of money on a magic potion offers no more peace of mind than just merely vitamin B2 and water.
You would pass the same U/A that day using the same total fl oz. of water and B2 as the total fl. oz of the potion/water combo. To view the Board Rules: http://boards.cannabis.com/introduce...ard-rules.html
