This has been asked & answered before, you can find it through the search feature. You have lived in California for 8 months and not recieved atleast a ID?? Honestly, it doesn't matter, however if you plan on being legal in a state where you can be legal be SURE you will have to show proof of residency unless your real cool with that disp. And most don't care to deal with you unless you have one- some can turn the other cheek on this but most choose not to. Most strictly California ID or DL- if you have a friend that's cool with a disp maybe they could be able to get you in no prob.
