I feel so bad
I know that all my posts are bizarre. I'm just a bizarre person in general. Anyways, we have a little bit of a mouse problem here in the house. We put down glue boards to catch them, and I went to the bathroom to get some incense cause I was about to fire up the pipe when I heard a weird "squick squick" noise. I looked down, and pulled the glue board up and not surprisingly there was a mouse. What looked to me a baby mouse. Not big at all. Anyways he was CUTE. I knew I didn't want to keep him in my house so I thought tomorrow on my way to work I would release him in a field a couple of miles down the road. So I took him off the glue board and put a little paroxcide on him where I knew his fur had to have been tender and put him in a box. My wife wanted to see what the mouse had looked like so I opened the plastic box that he was in and he jumped out quickly and ran under the couch. By reflex I tried to catch him (all of this while my gloves are still on) and felt under the couch till I felt the little body. I grabbed him and brought him out from under the couch and I was horrified as to what I found. When I tried to grab him my unknown strength killed it while I was trying to get a good grip on him. I am an animal lover to the extreme, but don't want mice (or any other critter) running around my house in the open. I just needed to get this off my chest. Thanks for reading..:icon401:

I feel so bad
Years agoâ?¦
I remember once when I too found what I believed to be a cute baby mouse stuck on a glue trap that my grandmother bought. I tried to carefully pull it from its glue while wearing a glove. I thought I saw some bloodâ?¦ I looked down and saw its detached little arm stuck on the glue trap! I quickly killed it to put it out of its misery...
Some things are unavoidable. Learn from your past experiences and grow from them. Next time, be more careful. Withholding negative feelings can be unhealthy in the long time.
Yes, I too have a place in my heart for other animals. So much to the extent, I don't fully enjoy the idea of consuming another (sentient) being's flesh. I have limited myself to eating seafood occasionally until I am a fully transitioned vegan/vegetarian.

A little mouse problem will soon turn into a big mouse problem. And for such cute furry vermin, they can do a lot of damage. They love to eat weed seeds. Any newly sprouted seed is dinner for them too. They also will chew on your computer wires. And boy, does it smell good when one of the little bastards get into your walls and DIES.
I know they are cute, but they are called vermin for a reason. And after the mice make themselves a nice home ,in come their larger cousins, RATS. And they are not so cute. In fact they are down right ugly. Since they have no control their bowels they are constantly shitting and pissing everywhere they go. (mice too). They chew holes in the walls. They will chew wires in the walls. And I won't even get into the fleas and deseases they carry. Mice and rats are not something you want around. Do yourself a favor and kill them all.
My wife feels like you do and does not want me to kill them. I wait for her to go to sleep and set snap traps around the house every night. As I am dozing a snap sounds every once in a while. And I smile and think to myself "another one down". Then I wake up early and flush the evidence.Wonderful Things Happen When You Plant The Seeds Of Distrust In A Garden Of Assholes

I feel for ya. I got a mice problem at my house too. God damned ghetto. When they keep me up at night, I curse them and shout at them in a monsterous voice about how I will kill them when I find them. Then, when I trap one, I look into his little beady eyes and suddenly feel merciful. This is war though, and war aint pretty.
Usually I will let them free outside where the cats can get them. If im not in the mood to go thru all that hassel, I have to man up and execute them. The way I look at it, I'm just setting them free from their bodies. Crazy, huh?

mice are just part of the food chain...for birds, snakes, even a large tarantula's eat mice...while i was in Hawaii...i was told to always wash the top of you beer or soda cans off because mice chew in the cardboard cases and urinate on the cans stored in wharehouses and it can make you sick! you think the mouse would would feel bad if it made your family ill? i have ground squirrels at my house and they dig my lawn up...so am always on the sniper attack with my pellet gun for ones near my home..i feel bad when i kill one but it lasts for about a minute until i smoke my victory bong!

After their cute little heads get crushed by the snap trap I look into those beady eyes and feel nothing. It does help that their beady little eyes are in the wrong place though.

I know what you mean. When they are free your thinking "man, when I catch you I am going to kill you so bad!", but then when you actually catch them they give you "the look" and it just breaks your heart because they don't know they are doing harm to anyone else. Don't get me wrong. I have no pitty on roaches, and weird insects, but when it comes to something fluffy and cute I just cannot help myself. Reading everyone's response has made me feel a little better. Thanks everyone
