poblano pepers
In my corner of the world spring is here and I love to eat stuffed poblano peppers. I got some really huge dark green perfectly formed peppers from the grocery, made them up and they were exellent. I saved the seeds and want to plant them in the garden. I was thinking of using the paper towel method that I use to germ mj seeds to germinate the pepper seeds. Basically treating them the same ways starting in small cups and then transplanting into soil. These really are pepper seeds I already have my ganga seed method down and it works well. Any one with pepper experience my ? is will this work ok or is there something I need to do like tempering the seeds in the freezer or something?

I'm really not experienced with sprouting pepper seeds.
However you should check to see if these are a Monsanto bred pepper. Reason being, Many of the seeds created by this company are genetically modified to create non-viable seed. This way Monsanto can charge the farmer for more seeds every year.
If these ARE Monsanto peppers, those seeds will never sprout no matter what you do.
If it proves to be a Monsanto plant. Try buying your seeds from a heritage seed, or organic seed company.

You know it is just like a giant ruthless corporation to rape the earth and then charge you for for it. But in this instance they have made sure that you can't escape their profit taking. It used to be you could take the seed from anything that you actualy had in your possesion and with your love and care could nurture it into a full grown plant and enjoy its fruit. Thank you for once again opening my eyes to the evil corporations do. If these don't sprout, I will order some seeds. It would be so much nicer if I could grow out the offspring of the ones I got these seeds from as they were great. Fuck corporations and damn them for the damage they do.

Whats up...
I havent grown Poblano but ive grown alot of other peppers. I have tried the paper towel method for the peppers and I wasnt happy with the results. Instead I use a $.99 plastic dome from Lowe's garden center and peat starter plugs. Soak the plugs and push the seed in and keep it warm and humid. They usually all sprout like that!.
