    Dilemma

If someone is so concerned about breaking the law, wouldn't they be just as concerned about breaking federal law? I don't like the law, but if you are into following rules, it is the law of the land.

It's legal in the State of New Mexico. That's my only concern. I'm not planning on smoking federally.

    Dilemma

The state of NM is inside the United States so you're "smoking federally" whether you like it or not. The state will not help you if the feds come after you because they know federal law trumps state as far as the government is concerned. Now, you may want to blow off the federal law as many have because of what your state says, but don't claim the high road saying...

quote: " I'm not into buying illegally. That just makes we waaaay too paranoid. Plus I don't know anyone that sells (being a good little Mormon boy) and I wouldn't buy if I did. I want to be 100 percent legal. "

You, like many others in the program would not want to buy it illegally because you're afraid of getting caught (or do not have the resources to do so), not because you have this great respect for laws and want to obey them all. You will never be 100% legal until the federal goverenment says so.

    That's true.

Just because you are "Mormon through and through",does not mean you cannot
come out of it and get past it.I was raised in the "christian" church and discarded all that nonsense long ago. Remember, not everything that our parents taught us is true and it's not necessarily their fault because most of them are just passing on generations of what THEY were taught.Someone has to break the cycle of brainwashing sometime.Do your descendants a solid, and don't hamstring them with this nonsense for life.

Well . . . we could get into a whole 9th and 10th amendment debate about that but didn't DOJ say it was all cool now? as long as your within your State laws, that is.

Hopefully we can keep it civil. The last people we need to be bashing is ourselves!

Well, unfortunately for your argument the DOJ does not have the ability to pass or change laws, only enforce them. And despite an administration that's friendly to the cause, there are still raids today on medical grow ops in California by DEA agents. What is the DEA's excuse for the raid? Marijuana is an illegal drug, totally (yes, medically too), under federal law. This will be the case until congress passes a bill, which the prez would have to sign into law, stating otherwise.

It just needs to be removed as a schedule 1 drug.
Get seeds, learn to garden and take control of your medication.
