can college student get a card?

I'm about to go to college at usc, does that count as california residency so would i be allowed to get one even though i live in MN now?

I'm not too sure, but the thing is you are living in CA even though you are not a resident yet. I would assume if a doctor in CA gave you a recommendation you would be good.

My thinking is you are following the 'rules of California.'

For example, If I took my weed out of CA and got pulled over, I would be in trouble because my certificate was issued in the state of CA.

I would call a Physician/Dr in CA that is listed in the MMJ directories and ask them about it...

Maybe if you go to the DMV in Cali and get an identification card made it might look good for you. Because when you go to a pot shop they ask to see your Identification for the first visit. So it might look good if you have a California Identification card and they look the same as a Drivers license too!
