Where can I get some big glass curing jars?!

OK, didn't want to ressurect this, but I'm bored and it was kinda funny to me.

Went in the container store and started looking at some curing jars and within 2 minutes an employee comes over and says, "Oh, are you with a dispensary?". No, I say. Then another, a minute or two later... "Can I help you"
"Just looking for some jars", I say
"What are you going to put in them?",
"I don't know", I say, "I'm picking 'em up for my girlfriend",
"Oh are they for marijuana?".....Fuck off, I'm thinking!!

So, every single employee in the store who comes by asks me about weed! I was kinda insulted! I'm usually a pretty clean cut guy, but I've been out of work for a couple months and I've gotten a bit shaggy.
Anyway, I ended up bringing a couple jars back because I got the wrong size. There were all different employees in the store. The guy at the counter starts sniffing each jar before accepting it back!! I'm like, "What are you doing?"... he says, "Oh we get a lot of people bringing them back and they smell like weed". So, he sniffs them all and says he can't take one back because it smells like weed. I'm amazed because I actually did put weed in that one (only for like 30 seconds to check fit) but I aired it out for 2 days and washed it and he apparently could still smell it... I couldn't notice a trace of it at all nor my girlfriend who can actually has a good sense of smell.

So I go over and start getting some replacement jars and again every employee that came by said something... one guy just looked at me and said, "Dispensary?".

I know it's not a big deal. But it kinda pissed me off!! There's a stereotype for stoners and I don't like to be lumped into that!! I mean, I've worked as a professional in a corporate headquarters, even quasi-management roles. Nobody there accused me of being a stoner at every turn... I'm going to file a formal complaint at Container Store as these little faggy twits that work in there were pickin' on the poor stoner guy LOL... my girlfriend tells me just to forget about because I am a stoner :thumbsup::thumbsup: LOL... I still wanna tell them that not everyone who buys glass jars is a stoner :wtf:

Anyway, it's prompted me to get a haircut, and shave and stuff even though I'm out of work:thumbsup::thumbsup: I been so lazy, so it was a good slap in the face... I think I'm gonna take a big break soon too... been just on a blaze of fury since November..:stoned::stoned:

Ha, that's actually pretty funny, stereotyping aside. Just shows how big the scene here is when the only use for canning jars at a container store seems to be storing weed haha. I guess there aren't enough grandmas canning preserves and vegetables these days.

My recent "WTF" moment was when the notary lady who was taking copies of my cousin's paperwork (I was getting signed on as her caregiver) at FedEx/Kinko's reminded us that we also need the ID copies included with the applications. Heh, I was spacing out thinking about all the other forms and was getting ready to leave, but she saved us another trip by remembering that. I just thought it was hilarious that she's done so many of them that she knows the regulations already...

MMJ patients and friends are everywhere. My husband and I have been going to this dentist for a few months and when my husband needed some oral surgery he let the front desk girl know he was a MMJ patient. Imagine our surprise to find out she was as well.

Our conversations continued and she mentioned that she was not all that happy with her caregiver. I guess someone paid for her referral in exchange for her caregiver rights for a period of time. This poor person thought they could go no where else.

We let her know about our new favorite place and after she went she was thrilled. We really need to help each other in this fashion. There are those that are not as informed and there are those that will take advantage of them.

I have been surprised at who is an MMJ patient. I know of nurses a clinical psychologist, and even several retired people. The face of an MMJ patient might be sterotyped but the general public has no idea what it really looks like because it looks like everybody.

I understand where you're coming from. I guess I'm a bit more of a private person than most... I don't like people knowing my business... I don't even tell people at work anything about me... it's better that way.

Yeah, if you're in a conversation with someone and hitting off... then it's not a big deal to slip that out there (although I probably wouldn't). I think that's a completely different thing than people approaching you out of nowhere and instantly stereotyping you!! I don't like random strangers knowing my medical status...

A lot of people feel really out in the open now that it's "legal". I'm still oldschool I guess. I don't talk to my parents about it... would hide it from my kids, etc....

Is pot really medicine? We could debate all day, but I don't think it is! It's more of an herbal tonic really... I consider it something like St John's Wort or Echinachea. It's an herb that has relief properties. We can't classify this shit the same as chemotherapy drugs, or insulin, or interferon, or penicillin. It's just not of the same category. I know this will piss some people off... but the fact of the matter is that "Medical" marijuana is a front for full-on legalization.... and it seems to be working pretty well!

I am the the same way - even guys from my band have no idea I am doing this (although spilling the beans would increase my 'cool' factor significantly). I always say the less people who know the better.... I have only told two people and only because they are the ones I would trust my life with.
