    Bat's 2nd Grow, 1st Log

    Hey everyone,
Wanted to log my current grow and figured why not do it on here so everyone can see.. of course this is all theoretical if I were to actually do a grow, all pictures from the internet that I found on google.....

I got a bunch of different strains of seeds from one of the major seed sources

    Ice
    Northern Lights
    Big Bud
    Pure Afghan
    Bubble Gum

For my first attempt with these I decided to go with Northern lights and Big Bud
I started out with 3 x seeds from each NL and BB
I germinated them and 3xNL and 2xBB actually sprouted.. so not too bad I am guessing..

My plant medium is reg old Miracle Grow seedling mix (.05-.05-.05) NPK (yea I should have gone with something different but thats all I could really get at the time.

I planted a NL and a BB (one each) on 3/8 and the remaining 2xNL and 1x BB on 3/11

for the first week I put them on 24/0 and as of 3/16 I moved them to 18/6

    Grow Setup
    6x100w (equivalent) CFL
    1x 22Gallon Rubbermaid Tub
2x CPU fans for air circulation

Here are my first pics taken 3/18 but for some reason I can't post them right now.. will post when I figure out whats up

Yesterday I decided to repot my babies..
I went from an 10oz Dixie cup to 18oz. At 8oz the plants were already super root bound after only a 13 days. I thew a little bit of Superthrive into the water (1/8th teaspoon / Gallon) and watered them and put them again.

Took some pictures this morning.. about 18 hours after repot and I can already see new growth!

I am going to split my grow into 2 groups.. A, B and possibly a C (see below) (to account for the two different plant times)
    All Seeds Gerninated: 3 / 6
    Group A: 3 / 8 / 2010: (day 15)
These girls have been doing pretty good, One is a Northern Lights (Bottom Left) the other is the Big Bud (Top Middle)
Unfortunately you will see later (attached picture) that my Big Bud has 1 little dead spot on hits biggest leaf!! I am a little nervous about this since I have not put any nutrients in my soil yet (was hoping to wait until I saw some signs they needed nutes as well as the soil that I potted with has a very small amount of nuts in it to being with. Can anyone diagnose the issue?

    Group B: 3 / 11 / 2010: (day 12)
These girls have been doing amazing as well.. in this group we have 2 northern lights as well as a big bud,

    Group C: 3 / 22 / 2010: (day 1)
These are the two in the bottom left corner, They are from two bag seeds that I threw in my germination station (paper towel) that I forgot about! I went to look today and they had grown 5 inches long and had leaves!!!! I really don't know if they will survive but I put them in an 18oz dixie cup, added a little Superthrive and put it under the lights.. so we will seeā?¦

2 Dots on leaf of my Group A Big Bug, any thoughts on what this is?

Today I woke up to some more issues with Groups A's Big Bug plant. Now I have another Leaf with two dots, and now another one has a little bit of crisp on the top as well as almost a burn spot on the leaf, see the picture below, does anyone know what this might be?
I also realized I had 100W 2700k CFLs, so I replaced 3 of them with 5000k CFLs that I had lying around. Hope that will help the veg a little bit. I am also going to hit up my local shot to get some fox farms nutes.

    Hey everyone,
Took a few moor pictures today, It is day 20 form seed and I think they are looking pretty good, but they are VERY short and bushy.. Not sure if this is good or notā?¦ thoughts?
I also just germinated some ICE and Bubble Gum, and those went into soil yesterday, so I plan on getting those up here too.. I am trying to have a constant seed -> veg -> flower cycle.. so I figure 3 weeks in-between germinations will be good..
    Any suggestions would be wonderful!

maybe a little short but it can be normal i grow in hydro so they grow faster so i cant tell. your leaves seem to need some epson salt but be sure to leave out any outher problems first. i have had some problems myself whith spots and rusty leaves so try 1/2 teaspoon of epson salt per gllon of water. i putit in hot water so its disolves good and wait to the water gets into room temp.epson sat isent table salt so be sure to get te rigth stuff in health shops or farmacies. you can try it on one plant in the beginning and wait 5-6 days for resolt. chec the ec on the salt not to be higher than the dirt little less than i sayd can go along way.but the moast important is to read about the subjekt read read. hopes this helps...

First off, my plants were incredibly root bound after only 5 days in the 18oz cup, must not have moved up high enough pot wise. So on thursday night I decided to move them up to 1 gallon sq. pots and since then they have started to grow a bit more! I know they are really short and squat for their age so I am not quite sure what I am doing wrong here.. I did realize 3 of the 6 CFLs I had were 27K s so I went out and got some 55K CFLs hoping this will help a bit, Now I have 3x65k and 3x55k.
Per Bubbles suggestions (thank you Bubbles!) I added a very small amount (1/16th teaspoon per pint -> 1/2 tsp / gallon) of Epsom to Big Bud #1 I then added some soil acidifier to Northern Lights 1. as well as added a pint of water to each of them.
I also am attaching pictuers of my grow box.. (this one is for verging, I have a taller bigger one for flower.

Wow, plants are doing great, I haven't had much time to post, but here are some pics from Day 24 and from Day 26, check out how much they have grown!!!!
Top middle one actually started touching the light so I had to add a spacer to my box to rise it upā?¦

I know it's been a long time since I posted, my day job has kept me super busy..
anyways, since the last time I posted, BOTH of my Big Bud plans turned into males.. so they were promptly executed.
I have put 2 of the 3 Northern lights into flower and am keeping the third NL for pruning and cloning practice (I think it's a girl )
I have been having some issues with the lower leaves, I posted a thread about it a few days back, they are all curling up, yellowing and crunchy.. I flushed all my plants with 2x the size of the pot so I am hoping this does it well..

This is Northern Lights 1, it has been in flower since Apr. 5th
