I'm considering getting a MMJ recommendation, (I reside in California), but I have some issues that I can't seem to find a straight answer on. I turn to you for help.

Here is my situation. I am married to a nurse who is not pot friendly. Unfortunately, I have back pain and sleep issues that pot helped with. I don't really like the side effects of the drugs that they're giving me, so I'd like to go back to marijuana. Unfortunately, my neighbor who sold moved away, so I now have no connection. I'm an older white male, so walking up to kids with dreadlocks and Bob Marley shirts and asking just isn't cool. Anyway, since my wife has 24/7 access to my medical file...

I don't know. I don't like doing things behind her back. Hell, I might have to though.

Also, I'm a gun owner, does being a MMJ cardholder affect my rights in that regard?

Finally, can my insurances (life, medical, car, etc) drop me? Would they ever know?
