The docs don't "prescribe" Cannabis for you, they may recommend it for you. You need his signed diagnosis along with notes documenting your condition, time in care, etc. Your primary doc must vouch for you on the app w/ his info on you. If the psych is seeing patients in NM it is assumed that he is licensed to do so in NM so his rec would be good. Unfortunately it sounds like you will have to run the gamete of pharms before your primary doc would even consider filling out the guts of the application for you, vouching. I'm 29 and I've taken 19 different pharmaceuticals in the last 11 years. For me I'm now being told that Cannabis is my last resort basically. It sucks balls man but it is the nature of the bastardy beast, the docs are totally out of tune, uneducated on the subject. There is hope though man and people on here w/ much more insight on how to go bout it, good luck.
chance942 Reviewed by chance942 on . Discouraged Hi Im new here just started the process of getting my MMJ card. I have been going to counseling for the last year dealing with PTSD from childhood trauma. I was diagnosed by the Executive Director of my counseling facilities with PTSD. I went to my Doc (who has been my Doc since I was born, Im 25 now), and he didn't even know Marijuana had been legalized for medicinal purposes! I had to educate him on it and then he said he wanted to put me on anti-depressants and that he would never prescribe Rating: 5
