Congrats on your card, be careful dealing with the non-profits, some are great, others not so much, you will not have, ANY, protectection as a patient. your "privacy" renders you unable to exersize your rights as a board member, no one will tell you this, I have learned from personal experience with SWOP, You most likely wont be listed as a board member, this is supposedly done for your protection, on the contrary it nullifies your rights. be careful,goodluck, its probably not worth your time.

Be glad to speak to you offline, I am not sure how to get your contact info off this site, if you know how to do this lets set up a time to talk. I say no protection, as if you are not actually listed as a BOD member, you have no rights as a board member, and the state will most likely leave you exsposed to this type of infringment of your right under the pretext of protecting your privacy, just try and get something done on the BOD without having any rights. as I said some of the producers are great others are NOT. just saying that you should be careful about who you help out, some of these guys are far from the benevolent healthcare providers that they claim to be.as I said I would be happy to speak with you, just let me know how to contact you.

I'm confused on what you are trying to say here. Are you confusing being a patient with being an actual board member? What "privacy rights" are you talking about? The only privacy rights I know of are your medical records. Those are private no matter who you are. Those are between you, your Dr., caregive, and the state. Am I mistaken that someone from SWOP posted on here, after one of your rants, that you were not a board member? I just need some clarification because I don't want producers to get a bad rep for no reason. I don't mean to sound like a dick, I'm just completely confused.
