How many plants do you think I can grow in this room with the 400w hps? Do I need an additional lights for another 8 or 12 plants in the confined space? How much does the mylar assist in reflecting light to the lower branches once the plants beging to grow higher? (I plan to veg to 24"-36" before flowering) I'd like to expect 2lbs from each 8 plant Bubbleponics set up; is this unreasonable? (ICE strain is a Northern lights/Afghan cross est 550-650 g/m2)
Also considering using a 2x5x8 (10 sq ft) porch closet as an auxillary grow room. Will one 400hps/hallide conversion be enough for this confined space w/ 8-12 plants? How much will aspiration per plant affect the humidity at 75F?

400w Hps covers a 3'x3' pretty well, so you may either want to go for another light, or maybe a 600 to take advantage of your space.

The number of plants you can fit under one light is directly proportionate to the amount of time you spend vegging them. You mentioned 24 to 36" before flowering, you may want to reconsider that. I flowered my current plants at around 20" give or take, and now I have 5' trees on my hands. I like that, but it limits me to fitting 5 or 6 in my space, instead of 20 or 30 smaller clones. To each their own on that, you can expect your ladies to double plus in some situations in the first couple weeks of flower.

Mylar will assist you fine in reflection, but with one 400 the penetration through the canopy will only be about 18 to 20 inches roughly, so anything below that gets sparse light at best. You maybe want to consider adding some fluoro side lighting or something if you want to make use of the lower growth.

2lbs from your setup will be pretty unrealistic. Strain "stats" from breeders are often skewed to represent the ideal phenotype in the ideal conditions. A single 400w can probably net you closer to the half lb. range realistically. Amount of yield is directly proportionate to amount of light.

If you want to maximize one 400w in your "aux" space, you should consider reflector shape. Talk to some people and do a little research on "footprints" of reflectors and find one that suits the dimensions of your space.

I'm too stoned to speculate on humidity and transpiration but I will say this. If you can keep your space at 75 and around 50% humidity for the duration of your grow (maybe a touch lower, say 30% for flower) you will have happy ladies till harvest.

I hope this provides some guidance that you were looking for. I can only tell you what my experience has confirmed for me so take my responses as just that.
