Question about dilution stickie.....

When N2 says "Be sure you have voided diluted urine at least 3-4 times before you test"

what exactly does that mean?

Also someone on here posted the aspirin is not neccesary to take because they changed the tests.... is that part true? I mean what could it hurt because I just bought a full bottle but was just curious.


So just to check my understanding so i follow to a T:

Step 1: 4 hours before test take 4 aspirin

Step 2:drink 16 OZ. of fluid (I am choosing gatorade and cranberry juice) then drink 8 oz every 15 minutes for 1 hour (total of 48 OZ.)

Step3:I should be voiding clear urine, everytime i void replace with 4 OZ. more fluid

Step 4:1-2 hours before the test take my B2 vitamins, 10X the daily reccommended dosage

for the next 2-4 voids, it will be yellow

So now for the question, should I go into the UA while I am still voiding yellow, or do I need to have 4 voids that are yellow after taking the B2 then use my 5th void as my sample for the UA? thats where my confusion comes in.

voiding diluted urine really shouldnt help you at all.. just got a time or two and you should be good for the test.
