What i want to know is the whole deal on kids being welcome. my son is only 5. my catch is i dont have a babysitter and i wanna go to the convention.
never been to one before, will it be a bad thing if i actually did bring him? i would love for him to see cypress hill play for sure :-)

There isn't supposed to be any medicating so I imagine it'll be fine. If you are going on Saturday I can post letting you know tomorrow night.

How can you have a cannabis convention, when you cant even smoke there?

Sounds boring as fuck to me. Lets talk about weed all day but not smoke any. I cant even be in a dispensary for more than 30 minutes without feeling the need to smoke a bowl.

We need to have a real convention for growers and patients , where we can smoke an network. Not just a bunch of companies throwing an even to try and sell weed related services.

Kids are welcome. I saw infants and toddlers, although not many.

KR's right - can easily bring kids. It's about as naughty as any auto show (girls in short shorts walking around modeling products, etc..). There's a ton of dispensaries all vying for people to sign over their caregiver rights. There are some pretty cool vaporizers that I had never seen before. Some funny merchandise, especially t-shirts. Ton of related business-to-business (security systems, credit card processing, etc) - if you're in the biz, good place to network. The overall event was bigger than I thought it was going to be. By the time I got to the end, my knee was killing me! Cussing I didn't bring any tincture to medicate on the way home. Recommend taking the lightrail down. Made it a lot easier getting in & out of there. Friday afternoon & evening was busy, but have a feeling Saturday is going to be crazy! I can only imagine how huge the next one is going to be!

I can see it being really cool for the MMJ businesses with b2b opportunities and such, but for the regular patients like me I kinda agree with this:

just got back and did not care to stay for the music...
was not bad although I was big time disappointed in the grow session as they where way to technical for the average lay person...all I wanted to know was how can I grow a couple of plants and what type of container's to use and how big of a light bulb to buy but could not get these questions answered but they where giving away a ton of door prizes including water pipes and a lot of neat stuff so that in itself made it worth it.
I would imagine that next years convention will be bigger and the second year should be even better.
on a good side note they had silver surfer vaporizor's for sale for 2 bills so I had to pick one up and by golly it works great.
