simple potting question
i have enough room for 6-8 autoflowring plants. could i just buy a big tote and fill it up with potting mix and grow all my plants in there or would it be better to by individual containers ? if so then are the cons to growing them all in a tote major issues or just something that i would have to be a little extra careful about? thanx !!!!!

Whats up...
From what ive seen done... You can use one big tote for the smaller AF strains like lowryder and ryder crosses. They dont get very big so the root masses are smaller. So if you space them right then you can do it. I would make sure they are all the same strain if you decide to use one tote. Also if something happens to the soil it could harm them all since they share the same medium. If you are confident in your skills then you can definitely make it work.
In my oppinion though if you have the room then individual pots would be best. It would be much easier to grow different strains that way as well!.

Remember, that sucker is going to get very heavy, other than that I don't see why you can't grow all in one tote...make sure you have drainage. And,like GrowThisOrDie said , if you get bad soil or any kind of infestation ,the whole family is going to get it....

hi chrisouth, have you thought of dividing the big tote with wood or plastic, that way if you needed to pull a plant, you would'nt disturb other root systems!!

your taking an easy grow method and making it difficult, Buy 6 square pots that would make the size of tote and you have the problem solved, have a bong and spliff and any problem drifts away........
