Super Value Grow Light
i picked up a couple of these off of amazon to have as backups, just in case something goes out during indoor season
Amazon.com: 400 Watt Electronic Switchable Ballast Hydroponic Grow Lamp System with Metal Halide and High Pressure Sodium HPS Light Bulbs, Cord + Hanger, GYO2002: Patio, Lawn & Garden
they come with an auto-switchable digital ballast, reflector and hangars, 1 400W HPS and 1 400W MH bulbs. ill tell you what, for the money what a setup! very basic, but shit, it even has a 2 year waranty. the reflector design is OK i guess, but shit, you couldnt build a light setup and buy two bulbs for what this whole setup costs. PERFECT size also for closet grows ( i veg my clones in the closet and move them out to the grow room when they get about 12"). great value on this set guys. basic and inexpensive, but WELL worth the money. if you need a primary or backup grow light, this is the one to get. comes ready to go. just attach the hangers, put in the bulb you want to use, plug it in and go..i posted this in another thread, but thought id put it here too.ShastaCoMan Reviewed by ShastaCoMan on . Super Value Grow Light
got mine setup this evening in one of the grow rooms. ill post a pik when i get a chance.
ill tell you what guys, if you have the money to spare right now, youd be silly NOT to get a couple of these. for the money, if they last 1 damn season, youll be way ahead. plus, replacement bulbs are a WHOLE 12 BUCKS. argosun bulbs are only 19.99, so DAMN how in the HELL can you beat it?
i built my own 1000w MH awhile back, and by the time i bought the 1000w bulb, 1000w ballast, something for a reflector ( actually, for a reflector i bought a big wash tub from the local feed store, a mogul base from the hardware store and a 50ft extension cord, and a can of high heat flat white BBQ paint. put it all together and it worked absolutely WONDERFUL, VERY reflective) and put it all together and i really didnt save much in the end.....
for a 400w system i cant say enough about these lights guys.
picture commin!
