    soil drainage

so I purchased fox farm ocean forest, it just seems to dense when its wet. i am thinking about buying some perlite or something and i saw a bunch of other things like charcoal , bark(for orchids), and some larger stone. would any of this work for drainage? and do any of these things have nutrients or chemicals?

20-30% perlite in the soil mix is your best bet.
