I was wondering if anyone had any knowledge or past experiences and could help me...? I currently applied for the MCP program under chronic pain and had my application sent back saying "need of second recommendation from specialist". I emailed the DOH but as of yet no response, what kind of specialist is needed for chronic pain?

Where is your chronic pain? I would ask myself that, and then look for a specialist that deals with that part of the body. Or you could ask your GP and they can recommend you to one.

You need your primary Doctor and a pain specialist recommendation.

I have severe lower back pain which has been on record for over three years. I've called a pain and spine specialists but they do not refer patients for the program? All of my application packet is filled out except for a second recommendation. Are there any specialists besides the ones Santa Fe Pain and Spine specialists?
