Alright this isnt even marijuana related; I just figured I would share my horrible horrible experience with this community whom ive been a part of for quite some time and pray that no one thinks im some sicko. December 30th I just got back home from spending the christmas at my fathers out of state. A detective comes to my ask telling me he has a search warrent for my computers and tells me he beleives that there is child pornography being downloaded to my residence, I was in disbeleif. Now I wont lie, I used Limewire to download porn and have come across multiple videos which turned out to be child porn, nevertheless right click and delete always seemed to work wonders. Well, they took my cpu in for forensics and on March 1st I got a phone call from the county jail asking me if I would like to turn myself in. Of course I go and turn myself in because I don't want the cops coming to my mothers residence and embarassing her in front of all her neighbors. I found out that I am being charged with 1 count of reproduction of child pornography because the computers crime unit had downloaded it via limewire from my computer about a month before. Well now I am facing possible prison time ( I already spent 3 days in county) and If prosecuted I will have to register as a sex offender... Over one video. I understand that this is a very serious crime; but a mistake is a mistake and should I have to pay for the rest of my life over something so dumb? I mean I never would touch children.. my name was in the paper and everything. Also I am an 18 year old with no prior record of any criminal history... I was just about to go to school and everything and now my lifes all off track once again

There's the bottom line my friend. Law enforcement is a moneymaking racket, common sense does not come into it. I used to have fair respect for the law and law enforcement until I was on the wrong end and experienced their idea of 'justice'.

Whatever you do, dont sign for some ridiculous amount of Probation for this......anything over a year and you should reset your court date through your lawyer. They will come down everytime. Dont sign for any 5 years probation unless YOU KNOW you arent gonna violate for ANY TINY reason. Cause then your going to prison....and lemme tell ya first hand......its the worst enviroment imaginable and NOTHING like HBO 's OZ.....all race violence all the time. You sleep with your shoes on so your ready.....its a war zone.

That or sit your time out......and walk out with no probation.....PROBATION IS A TRAP. A continuous cycle meant to keep you in the system. Dont committ any crime unless your willing to do the type of time that comes with it. Rule #1

If I understand you correctly, you were downloading some porn and what you thought was going to be good viewing material turned out to be underage and you deleted it immediately? If that's the case that really is a raw deal as no one is perfect (although some cops go around acting like their shit doesn't stink and they're perfect and pure and when no one is looking they turn out to be the biggest criminals) and it doesn't seem like there was intent. Seems like you have a fighting chance but it is going to cost lots of money and it will be worth every penny. Maybe you and a good lawyer could get your own expert to so it was downloaded then deleted immediately once you discovered it wasn't what you were looking for and let that and lack of intent be your criminal defense.

It sucks but I just wanted to let you guys know how dangerous and serious this stuff really is. I never would have though I would have had the police coming after me for this. What I can't understand is if they have the ability to watch what you DOWNLOAD, why don't they watch for what people UPLOAD? It would be pretty damn clear to me that you made a simple mistake. It's the people out there coercing children into getting naked that are the sick fucks - not people like you just trying to "exercise your prostate", as I like to call it.

They told me they do, but the people who originally upload it use proxys to hide their IP. Also the worst part of all of this is If I am charged with the felony I will have to register as a sex offender...
