Cracked Stem?

All 3 of my plants show signs of cracked stems so I covered em up with soil. Anyone know the problem of this? Plants are 18 days old.

Cracked stems really? How did it happen? Fan blowing to hard? Something drop of them? I've never heard of this happening naturally unless in flower and plants needing support.

Nope nothing dropped on them. Maybe its the fan, well the stem is like a brownish color and it looks like its shedding or something. Like something scraped against it because the inner part is green. More like a tear. The inner is green, the outer is brown.

that is natural. what your describing to me is the cod leaf skin. its natural that it will shred and fall off with the cod leaves. the root stem is getting bigger and that newborn skin will fall off. :thumbsup:

ok thanks, I had a feeling it was due to the plant stem getting bigger
