    First Grow! Organic. Imput appreciated!

    Hello,

I am posting this grow for my girlfriend. She is legal in Colorado and these are her ladies. I myself, am just the brains behind the maddness. This is our first grow so any imput would be very helpful.

    - The grow box is still a work in progress. Saturday it will be up. Right now, the ladies are situated in a ventilated closet.

    - The light that is being used is a 400 Watt System. Both metal halide and HPS bulbs.

    - The strains being grown are Northern Lights #5 X Skunk. She has two clones of this strain. The other is an unknown seed from a good buddy.

-The soil that is being used is Roots Organic Formula 707. Here is some specs on the soil: Made from only the finest ingredients, coarse
peat, coco fiber, compost, perlite, pumice, worm castings, bat guano,
fish bone meal, soybean meal, feather meal, kelp meal and much more. The guy at the Hydroponics store pursuaded us instead of the Fox Farms Ocean Forest. We're hoping that the results are decent.

    - The plants are not on any ferts as of right now. Still searching for the right products. Homemade ferts are looking like an option right now.

    - Well the shots were taken just a second ago. The bigger clones are the NLxSkunk and the little seedling is the unknown strain. Not sure how old the NL is but here soon it will be ready for flower.

Seedling is a little over a week old now, and in a larger pot.

Does everything look good so far??? Leaves show the tiniest touch of yellow at the tips. Is it worth worrying about?

hey i had a very healthy grow with the same soil that you are using. try using earth juice ferts they are organic and work well. try the earth juice veg, earth juice micro blast and the earth juice catalyst. That should get you headed in the right direction.

IMHO... you made the right choice for soil, RO > FF anyday. FF is inconsistent with their soil and I've had my problems with it myself.

The soil will feed your ladies for some time, that was two months ago...

What did you end up feeding them after all?

Next best thing to look for in your garden if you haven't yet is some compost tea. All the organic nutes are great but till you have a microbe population to get the nutes available and flowing to your girls your not unlocking the true potential of organics.

Hope your still around, let us know how things are going.
