For Cannacaps, I extract into a round stainless container sitting in a hot water bath instead of a pie plate. See attached picture.

When the butane has boiled off, I wipe the water off the stainless container and set it directly in a 240F oil bath and cook it until it stops bubbling, even when swirled or stirred with a skewer.

That takes about 30 minutes or so, which handily is about how long it takes to decarboxylate the oil at that temperature.

I have the tare scratched on the containers, so when it is through cooking, I wipe the oil off of it and set it directly on the tri-beam for the final product weight, and to add the coconut oil.

I then set it back in the hot oil and stir until blended, before again removing and stiring in the cornstarch.

That saves losing an oil film on every thing it touches and saves time cleaning.
