I'm a noob.. and just saw the trouble shooting so i'll fill it out to my best ability.

I'd ditch the foil. Reflects not only light, but heat. With 10 CFL's doubtful you want heat retention.
Plus, CFL's light isn't strong enough for the effective light to go from the bulb, bounce off of the foil, and get back to the plant. Not at all worth the time or effort to use foil or Mylar. Flat white paint does just as good, for what it's worth.

.6) What are the bulb wattages, kelvin ratings, and schedule? 26 W, 6500 K, 1600 Lumens per. 18/6.. sometimes 24/0

Don't switch back-n-forth. Whichever you chose, stick with it. (I use 18/6 because it works)

.7) Specific brand and type of soil, (coco, peat based soilless...) and anything you've added to it. (vermiculite, perlite, worm castings...)
I started with MG six month release feed soil. Started getting burned transplanted to a mixture of organic cow manure derived compost and mushroom compost --both from Timberline

Neither composts are for container gardening, are they? The mushroom compost around here is buffered to 6.0 ph or so. Way too low for container cannabis. And adding cow manure compost likely compounds that issue.

10) Source of water? (tap, bottled or filtered) What's it's ph before adjusting? Tap or out of brita filter. no pH tools

If you want success, there are a few toys you'll need to pick-up. A way to check your water ph is definatelly one of them.

13) Specific brand and N-P-K ratio for each bottle. List dosages (quantity per gallon) and current feeding schedule. Have yet to add fertilizer

Going to need to get some. A good 3 part nutrient system will take you from seedling to harvest. Most come with a weekly feeding schedule online, making it so easy a caveman can do it.

I would like to know though, does Fox Farms make the mix for a general climate? For example I am in the Pacific NW and a very moist climate, Rusty is in Arizona and a very dry climate.....does his OF have less vermiculite that the mix I get? In other words do they climatize the mix for the general shipping area. I doubt seriously my OF is shipped from the same place Rusty's is. Hmmmm maybe new thread?

Perhaps regions alter their formula's a tad, but they would rather you adjust to suit your needs. It's a "we have an ammendment for everything" world now, and marketed as such.

I use Filthy Rich by Dr. Q. ..and if that's unavailable I go with the Miracle Grow regular old potting mix. I add perlite to both. More perlite in the winter when humidity is higher here, less perlite when it's hot and I need that moisture retention :jointsmile:

Hi Stinky. Been a while.

There are of course, many different brands and types of container mediums, and any you decide upon will take some getting used to. One without time release nutrients is easier to adapt to, but it's all good.
