For years now the government has tried its best to demonize marijuana. I won't go into the specifics because I would be just repeating things you already know.

There is one thing I never hear about from the government or the public. It is the great pride people take in their bud. Growers tend and care for their plants like precious objects. Users of marijuana regard their stash like one would a fine wine. All kinds of precautions are taken by grower and user alike to maintain high potency and a nice aroma.

Rather than being a bunch of mindless zombies addicted to a substance, the vast majority of us are good people, who take pride in their pursuit of the better bud. It is not an addiction. It is not an obsession. It is a pass-time backed up by people who are interested in the science and social aspects of this innocuous drug.

Rooted in thousands of years of culture, marijuana is a social lubricant devoid of the harmful side effects produced by other, legal, social lubricants.

The pride and efforts of the marijuana using community further convince me that its use shouldn't be frowned upon. The creativity and ingenuity used by growers and users alike shout out the profound benefits of marijuana as a friend to humanity.
