Well...I'm not a chemist, but I am guessing they are responding to the bump in nitrogen. Knowing how much to use before contaminating (stressing) them into hermaphrodism is likely some handy information. Were this a plant suppliment, I'd be curious what the interraction between the suppliment and your nutrients/soil is doing long term. Oxygen has a tendency to corrode metals, minerals and oxygen toxicity can be pathologic on tissues. (pathologic: a departure or deviation from a normal condition)

Were I performing this little experiment, I'd limit it to a single plant till final results are in. It would truly suck to jump the gun and end-up with a room filled with canna-straw that isn't smokable.

General rule of thumb...if it's not made for plants, it might not be a good idea to use it on our meds. But good luck with the experiment. :thumbsup:
