Does the stretch ever stop?
This sour diesel is stretching way too much for my liking. It's already doubled and it's 2 days shy of finishing week 3 of flowering. Does vertical growth slow down or stop at some point in flowering?

SD is stretchy....look into some Bushmaster for the next run...too late on this one..directions say use in the first 2 weeks of flower but if you want to give it a chance it is the only thing i know to slow down stretch!

Thanks for the info... I definitely should've picked some up since I'm doing a couple other strains that are shorter.
Doesn't it stretch only for like 3 weeks though and start focusing on developing buds? I'm hoping it stops soon! It's still growing tall and the other plants are developing mad buds. This SD is definitely behind on bud production!Brown-eyed women and red grenadine...

Well when it starts bumping the lights get some jute or cotton string and start tying it over. I do not have a green thumb or a degree in injuneering so I grow in Hempy Buckets. I drill holes in the top edge of the buckets just so to have an anchor point to tie the cord. Guess it would be called HST but have never managed to lose one over the procedure as of up until this time. Knocking on wood
Now I have never grown that particular variety of medicinal herb of which you speak, but fairly sure they all have a big growth spurt when they get fresh and strong into the bloom phase. Once it doubles or triples in size compared to how big it got in veg, it will suddenly stop getting any taller. Start tying them over whenever needed. You can supposedly cut the string after a week. Sometimes it stays put and sometimes it dont.

I don't think you should LST a plant that's in flowering it might stress it.
I don't know about flowering but I had a few skunks in veg and I had the light 400w two feet away, after they had a little growth spurt that made them stretch about 8inches I lowered the light to be 2inches away from the tops which haulted the stretch and now they are getting very bushy.
Note: not all lights can be put close to the plants (especially HID systems) although I can because I have a eurotech hood (like a cool tube) and there is little to no heat pm them.
Goodluck hope this helps

Thanks everyone... I think it's almost done. It's actually almost tripled in height!! I knew it was a stretcher.
I actually got an air-cooled hood so I'm not too worried about heat... more light intensity! The 1000W even at 12" generates 300% of tropical sunlight according to this chart! So I try to keep it no closer than 12"!! I should be good as long as it stops in the next week or so! I got about 6" of headroom left to raise the light.Brown-eyed women and red grenadine...

my last grow i had a sensi skunk cross that i toped so it had two tops and about 3-4week into flowering she started strecting and the tops tryd to grow straight up together and i had to tie them down and the buds got bigger when i did ...my budy said its the plant producing more resin to the top cause of the bending it made like a syphon...idk if the syphon thing is true but my buds double in size so give it a try who knows it could fix them and be benafical

^Cool thanks. We'll see because I'll probably have to tie one and not tie the other so maybe I can test it!
I've heard Sour D turns intersex pretty easy so I didn't want to mess with it at all if I didn't have to. But I probably will have to...Brown-eyed women and red grenadine...
