    noob.need to know about lighting.

I am planning on growing in a closet about 3.5ft deep and 2.5 feet wide. I have 3 clamp on lights with , three - 6,500 k (daylight) CFL`s. They are extremely bright and they seem sufficient for the life of the plant but I do not know what colors I should mix in, and at what time druing the plant`s life?
    Any suggestions would be appreciated.

So is that 9 lights total? What wattage/lumens do they have?

6500K is good for veg. When you switch to flowering, something around 2700K is preferred.

No sorry I should have been more specific. I have 3 lights. they have 1600 lumens each, and they are cfl`s so they are 26watts=100watts i havent even started the plant yet.So basically a soft white bulb is good for starting? Also I saw this t8 fluorescent light at my local hardware store, it was called a grow light but it didnt seem bright enough to grow a plant at any stage, it was purple in color and very dull .BTW Thanks for your help

You will need to get some more lights eventually. You can get Y-socket splitters, and double your lights. You can also triple up on the Y socket splitters, so you can use one socket and have 4 bulbs. There's a sticky in the Indoor Lighting section called "El Cheapo Guide to Lighting", it'll show you what I mean. The more light, the faster growth, and the better final product.

I don't know much about that purple light, other than it's not used much by growers. Stick with the CFL's for now, it's the cheapest way to go.

    Happy growing

Y splittlers are good , but you can use a ceiling fan light kit, cheap and 3-4 lights in one fixture.
