Tote Box Grow

So check this out, ive grown outdoors for years. Its definatly a great thing to do in summer, but thats the thing... were i live you can only grow in summer. Well that is outdoors Im sure you see were Im going... O.K. to the point here, my freind brought up the idea of me growing some ganj under my stairs. I thought this was a great idea, and did some research. I found some people who used disposable Styrofoam coolers as a grow box. As I looked at this i thought "wow, what a great idea...BUT why not use something that doesn't leak light into your plants, something like.... a TOTE BOX"

I stayed home today to work on my new project. i have 2 fans im going to use. The cool intake will be low on the box, and the hot exhaust will be high on the box.

Here is were i was hoping some one could help :thumbsup:, i was going to use 4 florescent 150w bulbs until some flowers appear, than switch to high pressure sodium bulbs. I was thinking of placing 1 light bulb on each side of the box about 8 inches off of the soil. What do you all think about it?

ALRIGHT! Me n' a friend set this up and got it running last night... It looks sexy, BUT we ran into one problem... and that problem is involving the fans, these fans are ran off of 9V batteries. We had them running 24/7 but i noticed that those 9v's die pretty quickly... And not having a constant airflow can really fuck with your plants...

So i was hoping that somebody could suggest something... an external source of power, ect.

A couple computer fans would work great. You ca use an old cell phone charger to run them iv heard.
