Thanks alot for info and kick a.. pic.Any ways i was going to veg for 5 more weeks and then switch over to 12on and 12off.Ijust heard people talk about total dark will i need to do this.and how long should i flower them for.I have them under 250watt hps.

Im ceptic about the total darkness. MAYBE when you start the flowing stage you need it but im always breakin gthe rule to see if it changes something in the grow of the plant or something. I have a plant budding and my timer closes the lights at 7pm...and at 9pm i go sleep (eh) and i open the closet, open the lights and chek out the plant, water it etc etc, i was doing this for more than a month and...well... i can say that this thing isnt true!!!!! so the total darkness is...well bullsh*t (sorry for the language but i want to say it clearly IT ISNT AN IMPORTANT RULE TO FOLLOW).

The qty of time needed to flower depends on a lot of factor (strain, light, space in pot, watering, ferts etc etc) but in the majority i can say that at mininum you need 3 weeks to start the flowing stage, but be careful there is no coming back: when the process is started it won't start (i experienced it myself, turning the lamps to 18/6, changing ferts light et cetc).

Thanks agin the info is greatly appreciated.What kind of fert should i switch to on flowering i only ferted once i use peters 20-20-20 only 1/2 recommended dose.I also have miracle grow i used on my outdoor grow last year worked great.And i need to lower nitrogen intake during flower ri
ght.And how often should i water im in soil.Forgot to say whens good time to transplant have them in 8inch pots now going to 12inch pots.Im on 18on and 6 off right now.

Hey

When you fert the plant you need to know this golden rule:
-the first nuber is for the foliage (green)
-the second is for the flowers
-the third is for the strengh and roots(correct me if im mistiaking!)

So usually when you use ferts you want you plant to flower better, so use a 10-15-10 or 5-10-5 or 5-15-5. Check for the "bloom" ferts its always good (the peters have a good reputation).

Remember that too mush is not good and not enought isnt good either!

If you grow under and hps, you should water the sol each day (the heat of th lamps dehydrates the soil). What kind of dirt do you use? does it countains vermiculite?pearlite?sphagnum moss?

The best time to transplant is anytime! if you switch from 8 to 12 it should be enought for the plant. If you hear about root strangeling or anything similar just dont belive it: if the plant get enought food and light she will never die because of the roots. I had a friend that grew 2 plants in a 3x4 pot (im not lying to you this is for real) and they grew 5feet 6" tall. So im alot ceptic for that rumor (i call it a rmor because i have never seen such things like that)

Ummm? Lights on during the dark cycle huh? Sounds like HERMIE time to me bro. It will make plants turn hermie ; i know i done it. Light interuptions during lights off will stress your plants into hrmie and it will take forever to finish flowering; if they ever do; if you keep doing it very often. The buds will be smaller and spacer.
