Sen Romer seems to be all over the place in regards to Medical Marijuana and I get the impression he is unsure what his stand is.

I have no problem with the taxation of Marijuana, but I do take issue with a special excise tax for MMJ. If we were placing an excise tax on a legal product its one thing, then we would be adding taxes for recreational users. I am in no way in favor of creating an additonal tax on Medical Marijuana. Since there is no relief from insurance companies on the price of MMJ, the last thing we need is something else to make it less affordable for those in need.

Legalize it and tax it but leave medical marijuana alone.
Romer is confused because the wind blows in many directions. I have to wonder where this guy is coming from. I collect anywhere from $3000-$5000 monthly that I pay to the State in sales tax, what is Romer talking about? Cannabis is medicine and should not be subject to a sin tax. The real sin is that we are letting Romer and Massey get away with this attack on us. They are hurrying and fumbling to get anything passed and why do they hurry? Because they know if left alone another year the real statistics will be out, not only the revenue dollars the State and local municipalities are harvesting, but the true statistics on crime, and zoning issues, environmental and community impacts. They know if they wait too long all the "What If" scenarios they are whipping up hysteria about will be proven false.
