Try getting a temp reading so that the thermometer isn't directly under the light. Put some little piece of cardboard or something to shade it. Still, I think it will be over 85F, and most likely the cause of the leaf curl. Try raising the lights a tad until temps are good, and then figure out a way to keep the room cooler. A cooltube can make a huge difference (google: DIY cooltube, you can make it for about half the price)

As for the leaves, leave them be for now. If they are later blocking light from getting to bud sites, you can tie them back or to the side. It's rarely recommended to cut leaves (certain strains are very leafy and may sometimes benefit from this, but it takes some testing and years of growing to find the best method).
