VA hospital visit & painful peripheral neuropathy
I'm off to see my doctor at the VA hospital today. While there I am going to do some serious complaining about the horrible pain I have been dealing with in my elbow. It's that darn ulnar nerve giving me hell. I don't know what they may want to do about it. I do know that I want it on my medical record. The reason for that is, before I leave there I am going to get a copy of my record. Ulnar nerve problems are also known as painful peripheral neuropathy, one of the conditions covered by our laws.
One thing that is an unfortunate fact is, my peripheral neuropathy has been painful as heck. I truly believe if I had some bud, I might have got some sleep the last 4 nights.
I got no connect right now, so while I am out and about, I am going to carefully see if I can make a new connect. Then maybe I can get some relief. Also I need to find a doctor that can sign off on me for a card that won't charge me $200. I can't even figure out why they would charge me that much. All the work has been done for them already. All they need to do is look at the medical records I provide to confirm my condition, then sign a paper. So $200 for 10 minuets of work seems a little high don't you think.:wtf:
I'll let you know what happens.pepurr Reviewed by pepurr on . VA hospital visit & painful peripheral neuropathy I'm off to see my doctor at the VA hospital today. Good Luck with your visit Pepurr......
I have some questions on the VA for you when you get back on.
I have an email and phone call into the MCP office up in Santa Fe. Perhaps I can get some answers to your questions....
Have you contacted them yet?

What info do you need? See my thread "Are you looking for a doctor to recommend MMJ?" for contact info.

VA hospital visit & painful peripheral neuropathy
Hi all,
I just got back from the VA. I was freezing all friggen day. The appointment was at 11:00, but the closest train to arrive gets downtown at 9:00. Then I have to wait till 4:13 to get a train back. So, before getting to the VA, and after I was done, I froze.
The appointment was nothing like what I thought it would be. The appointment card they sent me in the mail had GMH on it. I had no idea what GMH meant till I got there. It was to see my mental health counselor. Things went well with that, but I couldn't get to see my regular doctor about my arm. I have to call in the morning to get a time to see the doctor.
So hopefully my arm will keep peace with me tonight. I tried to find some bud, but wasn't able to get any. As cold and windy as it was today, not many people were hanging around outside.
I am glad I'm back at home. Today really wore me out.
Sandia, what are your questions and what is MCP?\"Dope will get you through times of no money better than money will get you through times of no dope.\"

Medical cannabis program (MCP).
I was wondering if you had found a doctor yet, but after re-reading the posts, I dont think you have.

Nope, haven't found or seen one yet. Just started looking. I have had doing this in my mind for quite a while. After I found I had HCV, I knew there would come a time when I would want to get a card. That time has arrived.

So to me that is proof that they aren't going to screw with vets self medicating with MMJ.\"Dope will get you through times of no money better than money will get you through times of no dope.\"
