Disclaimer: I am not giving medical advice. I have medical training to the level of EMT-P. Statements I make are to be discussed with your doctor.

A couple of posts down I have started a thread with what I consider to be VALID references without bias. There is one group regarding cardiorespiratory.

Generally there is a transient increase in heart rate when smoking. I can tell you from personal experience, that oral ingestion will raise your rate for a little while as the medication begins to take effect. From my research this seems to be due to the lowering of the blood pressure. This is much more pronounced smoking as people hold their breath too, creating a slight hypoxic state.

What may not be considered here, is this obviously was in the past, how long ago I have no idea or way of knowing. But as a former medic, I often saw the side effects of pot laced with sherm/angel dust/PCP, which will raise the heck out of blood pressure and heart rate. So maybe it was laced?????

Sometimes certain genotypes will cause panic attacks in certain folks. I have a neighbor who cannot utilize White Widow for that very reason, but can use Haze just fine.
