The Untouchables: Caregiver Cup Winners ETC.
I wish I knew nothing of these untouchable strains. As chances to even lay eyes on it are slim.
All the unconnected patients are stuck with shitty ass vendor weed that most disp. know nothing about.
I haven't seen anything BUT vendor weed lately. I ask, "so, where did this come from?"
I usually get ignored or the honest answer of, " I have no idea."
So, my questions about genetics aren't even fielded.
Yeah, I'm venting and waiting for my caregiver to bring in his first crop.
Until then it's try and guess by looks and smell and hope you don't get home to find out that you got some unflushed uncured bs from your favorite disp.
I know they all say to return it if your not satisfied but that's also a hassle. I just choke it down and hope for better days in the future.
I don't think I'll ever get to try the untouchables since I can't be on call to race everyone else to the disp. for their hyped up strain. And that's ok. I just need to get this off my chest because I'm tired of hearing how bomb or fire these untouchable strains are. Shit, I just want really good meds for market price. I'm sick of getting shitty vendor weed that no one knows anything about. I'm sick of burning my throat to hell after purchasing what the budtender suggests. I'm sick of all 400 disp. in the area and no fair meds or prices.
I'm sorry to rant and this is by no means directed at anyone paticular but I feel better now.
I have had some great weed from disp but the bad far outnumbers the good.

Im with you man. The place i go to has been hurting lately. A lot of wet, crappy vendor buds. They just make up names. There is a place with "untouchable" strains all the time, but its $75 an eighth. My caregiver is out, so i get to smoke shit. But its better than 6 months ago, when i actually used to RUN OUT of bud. At least i will never run out agin. But 95% of weed in dispensaries does not deserve the title of being "medical" marijuana. That is why i made the post about medical marijuana being a joke.

Just get some well-grown stuff... I find people put too much emphasis on strain, myself included sometimes. I've had one of these "untouchable" strains before... probably the one you're alluding too... and honestly I've gotten equal or better many times. Granted, it's good bud but you can find a lot of good bud out there still. Not all vendor bud is bad!! True, it's got a greater chance of being harvested early or having other problems since the vendor doesn't have to stand behind his/her product as much as a dispensary, but there's some good stuff out there too!

"I" feel the problem you are seeing is the fact that the "outside" harvest is running low...As the time goes they will keep re-supplying with indoor bud for the rest of the season... Many growers will do a spring" Light Depro" grow and that should produce at least some to add to the shelves.

ive been saying this all along. a whole crap load of cali/vendor crosses and made up names with no lineage info at all. now if i were a vendor (no capital to fund a project) i would have strains that grown with absolute patience and care. all would have bios given to the dispensary. grown to the day its supposed to harvested, dried to just right and cured for one month. then tested :thumbsup:to make sure all was right. nothing goes out the door unless everything is top notch, there are some good vendors it just seems all out of control.

I am a DG in BC and we also distribute to our Members in Surrey, through the Surrey Compassion Club.
There are so many problems when it comes to strains, either to grow for a client or when we as a Club are forced to purchase Bud for redistribution to our clients. Firstly I have never heard of so many different names for Bud there must be 1000 names out there. And bottom line is, either it is indicia or sativa plain and simple. And as far as I am concerned my main concerns are " is the Bud good for pain and is it cleanly grown"
When I am out of stock I have to go outside the group to purchase Bud and there are so many things to consider, how much, what strain, how grown, where grown, and what is the high like and percentage if known, organic or chemicals induced. And ,Most of the time the person who is selling the weed is not the person who grew it so they do not know or they LIE.
We as a Club have purchased some BUNK weed, knew it was bunk and still resold it, as BUNK of course.
You guys in the US are so lucky, the Govt has allowed you to legally set up a shop, we here in Canada are still dealing illegally through our Compassion Clubs, and this really needs to change.
I guess the lesson we all learn here is not to run out. :rasta:LMAO
Pay It Forward

I ask for 300 for my clone only strains and all others are 275 and my patients, well they get a oz a month for free. I would love to offer these prices to all patients and totally bypass the disp. I have all business lic. in place including bank acct, sales tax (state, fed, local), ein, and so forth but would still rather deal directly with patients as I always have done in the past but now with all the legal and political crap it is a waste of money and time to open yet another disp.
I am taking apps for 3 new patients but can not sell retail as all my licensing is wholesale. Should there be a way for me to get these meds directly to patients with out going retail I would love to hear it.
You can visit my site at klonzinc.com for the retail locations that carry my products.

Any seed can become an elite clone. You just have to be willing to put in the time and work, or get lucky. One of the caregiver cup strains that gets less hype was found by a friend of mine as bagseed. He grew it out and found an excellent pheno. This herb almost never sees a dispensary shelf. It is only available directly to their patients at a most compassionate price.
Some of these 'untouchable' strains were given out freely for a long time before they gained notariety. I had someone drive over two hours to gift cuts to myself and my partner. One of these cuts was the banner.
We'd never heard of the banner and honestly i was more excited about the double straw diesel and the juliet that came with it. Several cycles in the banner stood atop of the others in most aspects. My first instinct told me that the dsd would be the best because of all the diesel hype. Goes to show you don't ever know...
Any plant grown well by an experienced caregiver who actually cares and gives is going to be exponentially better than dispensary meds. I've been gardening nearly 10 years and offer my patients free meds monthly and super cheap rates of these 'untouchable' strains. And no we aren't looking for patients
