We use one of the largest Authorization company's in the US for our transactions.

Its my understanding that the card being used must be physically present and swiped in order to stay in compliance. If a card is keyed in manually. the transaction is routed in a non approved way. This pertains to our situation, and may not for all merchant accounts.

Sucks if we lose the net we can't process cards. not even using a manual analog swipe machine.

Auth.net dropped us at The Village Green Society. Were on our 2nd and its super finnicky (sp?) when it accepts/declines cards. I think non-center shoppers would be suprised to know just how many people pay with CC or debit card. I bet we are nearing 50% of our daily transactions are card (maybe even 60%)
