1 week flowering... does this Mr Nice need pruning??
OK, this plant has gotten rather bushy. It's 6 weeks old (from small clone) and has been in 12/12 for 1 week. It kinda topped itself early on and developed a bush-like structure, then it was LST'd to encourage that.
Anyway, it's gotten bushy as hell. Should some of these lower fan leaves be trimmed away? Lower/smaller stems? As you can see the leaves are really bunched up and lower ones probably won't get much light (although they're under 1k W HPS). I've also noticed some wet spots on the leaves where 2 leaves have been touching and the water between them fails to evaporate. This makes me worry about mold and stuff. But it is super dry here.

1 week flowering... does this Mr Nice need pruning??
^What would you do to this plant?
Can you elaborate on your technique and your objectives? What are you trying to accomplish... just remove the areas that don't get light? Reduce size? Do you cut branches or just fan leaves? What's your criteria as to whether it goes or stays?
Sorry for all the questions.... obviously I've never pruned anything other than dead growth before.Brown-eyed women and red grenadine...

Get some bamboo posts and some string, tie the string around a branch and then pull it close to the post and tie the other end of string to the post. That way you can spread out some of those branches. I did that for my blueberry clone cause a bunch of branches were growing inward toward the center. Provided alot more light for my buds all over.

I don't think so, but I only trim off a few bottom branches in flower just to take a load off the plant. I do most pruning in the veg room.
