People hate Obama like hes taking stage after Kennedy

    Author:GanjaWiser from Ganjawise.com

President Obama??s campaign was one of the most successful campaigns in history. He raised a record breaking amount of money and was even hailed as a messiah in some circles. He got the nation dreaming of a brighter tomorrow with the words hope and change. Every car had either word plastered on their rear window or bumper. Every celebrity was eager to show their support. Mainstream media put his face everywhere and the youth sang of his praises. Well, of course it was a big success and Obama became the 44th president of the United States.

I voted for him simply for the fact that I think he will go a better job than McCain would have. McCain lost my vote with one quote, ??We could be in Iraq for 100 years.? And one bad decision. SARAH PALIN. Well the fact that Obama has African Ancestry sure helped seal the deal in my eyes being of African decent myself, but I didn??t think he was gonna get the keys to the White House and immediately start saving babies from burning buildings and pave the streets in gold like many seemed to. His job is to pull the nation out of one of our worst recessions ever. Hes taking the field after our previous quarterback threw four interceptions that were each ran back for six. Of course we??re gonna loose the game, we live in reality, but i think we have hope (sorry) in savaging our session. Hes not following Joe Montana. He was not sworn in days after Kennedy was shot. Hes following BUSH. We just had eight years of Ryan Leaf, so be patient people and lets stop the talk how we were lied to. He hasn??t completed his first drive.

I??m sorry to say that although I approve of Obama I don??t think he is brave enough to legalize marijuana any time soon. He is surrounded by many doubters and they will consider themselves right if he even entertains the idea right now. We would have to wait a few more years for the legalization to gain support and that duty falls on our shoulders. The Obama administration has said it will not prosecute medical marijuana patients in states where it is legal. So he have to focus on decriminalization state wide before we moving on to nation wide.

I don't think we will ever see this happen from any president. I don't think it's an issue of bravery so much as it is an issue of not wanting to spend all political capital on a single hot-button issue that is not demonstrably in their favor. I think the only true hope for legalization will come from the local and state level, and pressure will "bubble up" to the federal level.

Obama has taken a brave stance with being frank about past drug use and clear statements that the government should rethink their approach to marijuana, and while the new Justice Dept. policies regarding medical marijuana use are currently largely ineffective and actively ignored at many levels, these are small steps toward "normalization" and raising awareness that many other candidates would have been afraid to take.

I don't think it's reasonable to expect Obama to legalize marijuana, and I think there's much more he could do in that regard, but I do think he's some a little good.

    Aloha

Obama is like all political animals. I don't think much more will be said about cannabis in his first term. He is looking toward re election. In his second term more will be done. I live on Maui and last year (final year of Bush 2 budget) the DEA was flying Green Harvest every month. That stopped in August. Since then we have been chopper free. I think behind the scenes money is quiety being reallocated to other priorities.

In his second term I think more will be done. He will no longer be constrained by re election. Even then cannabis will be decrimanalized and wrapped with the "medical" label thus not legal to the healthy masses. After all is said and done what I think is it will become the lowest priority legaly. UNLESS....

Money. Agricultulturely cannabis is our largest cash crop. Untaxed. States are looking for pennys under the couch. They get their cut from booze, they get their cut from cigs, and they let a big revenue source like weed just walk on by? I don't think that will last long. It may take a decade to happen legalization will come at the state level and like other "vices" will be heavily taxed.

I like Obama more because he didnt have to steal votes like the Kennedy Dynasty did. Obama's definitely not impressing me in some areas, but I do feel more content with my country right now.

people "hate" Obama because they are a bunch of whiney pussies who expected him to do everything for them or because they listen to right wing radio. Most of us think he's doing a pretty decent job given what he inherited. :twocents:

Well, the common misconception is Obama went to Harvard, when the truth is he is a graduate of Hogwarts Academy. With that extensive metaphysical education that damn magical negro should just wave a wand and fix all the problems in the Country, that's why I hate him!

nahh joking, I hate him because he is a Politician

Obama lurched to the far left as soon as he took office and tried to get the feds more control of healthcare, the banks, the automotive industry, and the energy sector. Obama has done a lousy job all around since taking office I dont care how ya vote. I bet George Fucking Bush could beat Obama in a straight up national election right now.....and THATS sayin something. These idiots in WASHINGTON had a super majority and STILL couldnt do SHIT. NOTHING. Fumbled on foreign policy with Iran, totally fucked themselves in the healthcare joke, and totally misjudged unemployment and the economy. And how's Chevy doing right now? Who besides people that dont really follow politics or the news daily thinks Obamas done a decent job?? That number is far and few between nowadays.
