Just got it done, few questions
Finally took the time/money to go get my license, it went so much faster then I thought it would! Relaxed Clarity in Broomfield is a very cool place. Mailed the paperwork in a few days ago.
How long is it going to take to get the actual card?
Why do dispensaries have me sign them up as my "temporary caregiver" when I enter?
What do I do if I lose my copy of the paperwork?Pallando Reviewed by Pallando on . if youve already been to a dispensary then they should be able to give you a copy of your paperwork as long as you prove your you. if not there then check with the doctors office because they should have taken copies of all of that as well
good luck with your experiences brother

My husband recieved his card the day after Christmas and it was mailed Sept 14. My paperwork was recieved on Nov 2 and I am still waiting.
Last time I checked the website it was taking 4-5 months. The good news is that the longer it takes them to process the longer it will be before you will have to renew. The date on my husband's card was 12/22.
I recommend you make several copies of all your paperwork if you fear losing it. Last thing anyone needs is legal problems that might be avoided if important documents are easy to locate.

yes, 1 year from issue.
A friends was mailed off last week of Sept. and got her card 1/15.
I'm wondering about renewals & if the same holds true - i.e. if I mail in my renewal in just 30 days prior and it takes them months again... do I win again?
It would be swell if they would make these for 5 years or permanent for people with permanent conditions. It would ease up the application process. Next year, their troubles will be doubled with renewals and signups.Colorado patient grower. :rambohead:

Yes!
Your year starts the day they print the card. NOT when the Doctor approved it. :thumbsup:A wise and frugal government, which shall leave men free to regulate their own pursuits of industry and improvement, and shall not take from the mouth of labor the bread it has earned - this is the sum of good government.

this is good...now they need to make the cards good for 5 years or a simple low cost re-newal fee for those of us on fixed incomes as the Dr. rates are way high if we have to do this every year....this is what is killing us is the high cost of renewal......
I for one would pay $175 for a two or three year license. It would cut down on my time., the departments time, and even save a tree or two.
It just makes sense. Some conditions might change, but for most of us the reason we were allowed the recommendation was because of medical conditions that are not about to change. A license of over a year would benefit not only the patients but the department of health would also benefit.
