My original plan was to leave them in 3 gallon pots, but I'm a little worried about that. These guys became rootbound pretty fast in the plastic cups and the 1 gallon pots, so I figure they'll do the same in the 3 gallon.

So, the decision becomes...
A. Leave them in 3 gallon pots, and switch them to flower soon.
B. Switch them to 5 gallon pots in a couple weeks, and flower a few days after that.

Decision A leaves probably leaves me with a smaller overall yeild, however the plants will be easier to move around because they're lighter, the soil will dry out faster between waterings, trimming may be easier, and besides tucking the plants under the screen when it goes in there, I can be pretty lazy about maintenance.

Decision B gives me a possibly bigger yield, less possibility of nute burn/deficiencies due to having more soil to spread the nutes over, and the "oooooh, ahhhhh" at harvest because of bigger plants.

I think I'm going to go with A, because I want to spend my time creating a second grow area for the clones, and not hassle with 5 gallon pots. The exact day that I switch them to flower will be determined by when they fill the screen about 40% which should be pretty soon. Installing that is another little project I need to do this weekend.

This is a closet grow, and my first grow ever. I've installed an inline exhaust fan in the ceiling that vents to the attic through some 6 inch ducting. I forget the exact specs, but I believe it was around 100 CFM and $45. The closet space is 5ft Wide x 2ft Deep x 8ft High. I'm probably only going to use the bottom 5.5 feet, and leave the upper shelf where it is for storage. I've got a Rating: 5
