Having kept many coral and fish tanks, I do know that the GFCI's are useless against water, and the warranty does not cover against water damage shorting them out and causing fires. There might be some high-dollar units for marine applications, but those from WalMart or the Dollar Store are useless against moisture.

i just use that strip for running the pumps to water and the vacuum cleaner when doing "house cleaning"...but i do agree it needs to be changed and moved to a safer place....thanks for pointing that out...i need to get a power strip with a longer cord so i can put it in the middle out of harms way...appreciate your input...thanks :thumbsup::thumbsup:
