They look super cool, amazing the evolution of them. Truly inspirational for us "other" growers. I do have a point/question/suggestion. If you had those strips also at mid level and canopy level but dialled in so they were less tahn above to avoid strange stretching would you get more at canopy level. I truly believe if you had some horizontal supplemental lighting your yield would be double or therabouts.

thanks...i am running the 8week schedule and yes i will be applying the Top Booster on week 5....since a packet of Shooting Powder is more than i need to finish one grow i did give the current grow 1/2tsp/gal of Shooting Powder just to see how they react to a small dose...the feed formula calls for 1tsp/gal then 2tsp/gal the last 2 weeks....and i beleive it has helped them pack on some weight...but i will know more as i complete the first tray on the entire formula

Hey Str8, was curious what the ingredients are for the Shooting Powder but all I could come up with is this:
Shooting Powder Info - UK House and Garden
Does it mention ingredients and/or breakdown on the bag?

I'm new so be gentle please :P
Do the plants require a mixture of light or can you simply use one colour during each stage? I mean can you use only blue light at 460nm for the veg stage and then red light at 660 nm for the flowering stage? Or do you need a bit of blue light during the veg stage as well?
Thanks.

the main needs of a plant are reds and blues so it is not a good idea to do one color only...in either flower or veg...you need both for a healthy plant:thumbsup:

Ahh so traditional MH and sodium lamps produce light in both wavelengths? So during flowering do you use LED lights with more red in them and during veg you use more blue, or you just use a mixed light for both?
Thanks for the help, think i'll have a few more questions no doubt. I wrecked my spine a few months back and buying my medicine is costing a fortune.

actually i run the same amount of blue in each flower and veg...the reds are not as critical in veg as 630nm will work but will not perform well in flower...a deeper red of 660nm is needed for good performance in flower:jointsmile:

I see, so you can use the same lights in veg and flower you just need the appropriate red spectrum. So if you were running your grow via clones you could keep your mother plants alive with the same lights used in the flowering phase?
What would you recommend regarding ratio of red to blue? I see some companies selling 8:2 (red:blue) and 7:1 (red:blue).
Sorry for so many questions
