I'd say go for something that is easy to grow for your first time. Northern Lights, White Widow, Pure Power Plant (PPP)... there are many more. Try to get something with less flowering time. Any "haze" (sativa) will have longer flowering times, and are typically more difficult to grow indoors.

The autoflowers are OK if you have space issues, but they yield like 20-30 grams per plant, so for 3 plants, it's not that much. A regular indica like WW or PPP can yield about 50-60 grams per plant with 4 weeks veg and 8-9 weeks flowering.

I think you will get into temperature problems with a 400w light though... you'll need to look into some way of cooling the room. The smell will also be a problem, either in that room or possibly the entire house. You can get kits like this: 1m² Cool Tube Growing Kit 400W complete, 289.95euro; for a decent price. If you decide not to ventilate properly, you'll have to keep the room cold and probably keep the closet door open when the light is on, but then you'll have to heat the room and keep the closet door closed when the light is off to keep the temps in range. No more than 30C, and no less than 20C, 25C the best, and the less temperature variation, the better.
