    main stem diameters

I know there are lots of variables that come into play, but i started with seeds str8 from a street bag, so no idea of strain. 3 plants in dwc using gh3 vegged for 5weeks under 70w hps and 8 48" flourescent 40watts up opposite sides(4 each side). They look better than either of my last 2 attempts but are only about 10" tall, bushy as heck and more roots than plant. I am assuming so far this is a good thing. The tripp is the main stems are almost as big as my pinky finger, ranging from 3/8" to 1/2" diameter. Never seen any that were bigger than a pencil at best. Is this typical for some strains, or good weed with good light so they dont stretch. Just wondering what might cause this, so i can do it again. Who's had some like these?

I really cant tell you exactly what i did, but in main stem wise, I did see a big increase in thickness after switching to a 400w system from (12 CFL's 26w each).

    Hope that helps

Good environment and proper light will produce stalks to hold those big buds without having to ty them or prop them up. Lots of air movement is the key.
