Closet Ventilation - please help me find the right fan

My setup is almost complete. I have a 2 deep x 5 wide x 8 high closet. I'd like to install a ventilation fan in the ceiling drywall, but would rather not add a switch into the wall and wire the fan to the house electricity.

Is there a fan available that mounts into the ceiling, has an on/off switch directly on it, and comes with a wall plug? That would be ideal. Otherwise I'm going to have to go into the attic and run wires....

if your going to be using HID lights(MH or HPS) you will probably need a air intake; I have a grow box in my closet with a 400 MH or HPS(depending on veg or flower) I needed an air intake from outside air to get the box cool enough. temps were 85-90f before and 75-80 after. I even had to put a peice of tempered glass seperating the plant from the light as it was still hot.

if you send me a pic I can make some suggestions.

Thanks for the reply Jonesy2010. I ended up going with a 6 inch inline duct fan.

In the closet ceiling I installed this:

The ducting runs up to the fan, and the fan blows at a vent on the roof. Seems to work pretty well so far.

What I really need now is an inlet to this closet:

The panda film is pulled pretty tight right now by the fan.

Why not put another line from the outside into your closet with a inline booster fan. Should reduce heat and provide plenty of fresh air for your ladies.

Inline Duct Booster fans are about 20 bux at Lowes for 4" ducting and 29 for 6".

I have the same dimensions as you with the same size fan only I am running 2 400watters with euro reflectors. The temps are stable at 77 on the inside the room with the temp outside the room steady at 70.I have a 2.5 inch s-pipe made out of PVC on the bottom to serve as my intake. I tried using a 4 inch line with a 4inch fan but it made my temps increase just a tad so I took it back off. I also have a 6 inch booster fan on this set up as well just because after I added the carbon filter the temps started rising up to 83:thumbsup:
