Growing with soil is cheaper, big time. The nute solutions are going to run ya over $150.00 easy. If ya grow some good bag seed out in soil it would be about $100.00 and thats pretty much everything you need, if you go with cfl's. If ya look around there are a ton of nice cfl's grows and i was very happy with my own. In the beginning of my grow are cfl's that i added as i needed to. You could get a good idea on how you can get a grow going and learn from my mistakes. It was my first indoor, but very satisfied, while some issues the plants shouldn't have had to go through in a different environment. Im not sure if you have had a grow before, but if you haven't, this is the way to go. Oh and it cost me like $15.00 bucks a month to run everything. Cfl's are cheap to buy and use, so this is my advise i hope it help ya.

Yeah CFLs are cheap, costs me about $20 a month to run a 200w cfl, 23w cfl, two fans, and an air purifier...If you're interested, LED seems to be the most economical. The initial investment is the highest ($400+), but cost to run and average lifespan make it extremely cheap.
