Selling hermie buds?

We've been struggling with this question, so I'll put it to you guys:

We've had a lot of caregivers bringing by buds that have hermed, from small, undeveloped seeds to big 'ol tiger stripes. One in particular, a cross of Willie's Wonder and NYCD, was some amazing smoke, but had two or three seeds to an eighth.

Is it okay to you to get a couple seeds if the smoke is really potent? What if a dispensary tells you in advance? Or if they weigh it slightly over? Does it automatically drop a grade?

I am with you I believe it doesn't drop a grade cause I had seeds in my white bubba n tahoe ogxc99 from ccf but they were still fire n the tahoe was a good seed. Already tryin to sprout it godbless

I would consider it a bonus... seeds are expensive, especially those with decent genetics.

yea if it was just a seeded plant but not it they were hermi seeds. but as far as the ?? i don't see a prob with the meds.depends on how much the plant herm'd depends on how much it spread as to the potence of the bud.if it was just a lil then not much of the energy went to seed production.just depends but if the meds are good i don't see a problem.

If you get seeds off a hermie caused by stress, does that gaurantee a hermie will grow? I guess I've never really gotten a straight answer about that. Usually when I find a seed It's the only one in the whole ounce. I figure its just some sort of anamoly, but I do know that when I get seeds in this fashion they are almost always viable.

Over the last 3 months I've collected 3 seeds total. Cali Mist, Jack the Ripper, and Strawberry Kush. I mixed the damn things up though

I think you should just tell people. If it was a kind I liked, it would be a bonus for me. I would like to know before I grind up an ounce for the vaporizer/joints for the next few and don't notice the seed... they still taste like crap

someone who I caregive for found 2 seeds in an ounce and came to complain. I told him I would buy seeds back from him for $5 a piece. He's decided to keep them

IMO, if there is less than 1 seed per gram, no problem, doesn't change the quality, could even be a bonus as others have said. :thumbsup:

But as I've purchased some meds with half a dozen seeds per gram at premium prices, I start to feel weight or price compensation should be given for the medicine... if it has this much tendency to herm, probably not a bonus either.

I love the idea of buying them back, although if they are from a selfed hermie I don't think I would bother growing it out, but, as faddenator implied, if it's purely environmental, I don't know that there would be a problem.

Agreed. And as long as it's not more than the 2-3 seeds per eigth as mentioned.
