    SOG

I think I want to get more education about SOG. Is this viable in soil? Is there a good explanation of how it is done somewhere? Does it eliminate the ability to do perpetual gardening? What are the advantages and disadvantages. More or less work to care for - than ? ???

Of course. Sea Of Green is jus tarranging the plants into a dense canopy. You can LST plants in individual pots to have a certain interlocking footprint then you have your "sea" no matter how you arrange them.

I think you might be talking about SCROG, with a screen. That does make individual plant care harder. When SCROGging I think it helps to use all the same plant cloned so that there is no guess work. Nutes, herms, yield are all relatively known factors. The hardest thing about scrog is pest control. For this reason it's better with hydro or soil less methods but it will work well for the attentive gardener in soil as well.
