    Under served areas?

I actually live in Az and have driven I-10 through NM I only remember being checked going from East to West. Do the check when going the other direction say from Deming to Las Cruces? I also only seem to remember the next one going from East to West in Az after the border of NM.

I am not even sure how that makes sense, or what it means .................. but give it some time, first they have to approve producers. Then they can start to set up shop, but location means nothing, their are no walking cannabis coffee type dispensaries here yet, everything is delivered. which means location is not that important, if SFINM can reach Las Cruces, then we just need more producers, they come to you not the other Way around.

Within 100 miles of the border, if you are on a fedeerally funded highway, you are subject to search with no probable cause by federal officials. The Border Patrol has stated that anyone caught in posession will be arrested and the federal attorney will advise them on if they will be prosecuted. I will try to find the article and link to it.

I have lived in Las Cruces for 30 years and know the ropes. No dispensary woudl be safe there. A grower that started up would not only be risking federal hassle but the cartel owns the borders on both sides.

You can not go out of las Cruces, Deming, Lordsburg, in any direction without a checkpoint and they are GOOD. Dogs, X-ray, trained cops, adn a brand new facility on I-25. Going IN is no problem. If I was going to serve las Cruces I would put the dispensary mire than 100 air miles from the US/Mexico border. Outside this 100 mile line the Feds have to follow search and seizure rules and things are legally different.

A delivery system would be easy to Las Cruces from elsewhere. If you were a producer in Las Cruces you simply could not deliver ANYWHERE outside of central Dona Ana County without going through a federal checkpoint. It would seriously limit your ability to serve patients.

Hey, one more thing... Lets make it perfectly clear....

Obama said that the federal officials would not actively pursue investigaions against MC patient as long as they were growing within state laws. In other words they would acknowledge state law. THAT DID NOT MEAN THEY WOULD NOT UPHOLD FEDERAL LAW. There is a distinction here to be made.

The Border Patrol El Paso Sector has made it clear that they will arrest anyone with any amount of marijuana. At these checkpoints you have NO SEARCH AND SEIZURE RIGHTS. After you are arrested they will leave it up the the Federal Attorney to prosecute, and the attorney has not made a statement. The assumption is that you will be allowed to bond out, your meds will be confiscated, and the charges will be dropped after the damage is done.

Is a totally different ball game. In NM I haven't ever seen the BP hiding along I-10 or I-25. Once you pass Truth or Consequences by 15 miles or so you rarely will see them, driving even. In Arizona, way before this whole "money and guns to Mexico" thing became national news I wasn't stopped but southbound to Nogales I saw a temporary check that was set up to stop in both directions. I then passed through another temporary check on northbound 19.

There is a westbound check between Las Cruces and Deming. All paved roads leading away from Las Cruces have permanent, rip your car apart, checkpoints. There are 2 on NB 25,one open at a time. So Slayer and Bob are correct Cruces wouldn't make much sense.

So to ultimately answer your question we don't have what you do in Arizona. The focus at this very moment is on roads leading AWAY from El Paso. Supposedly they check for southbound contraband on the U.S. side of the border. The Mexicans COULD have been doing this all along but we all know why they haven't.

For living in LC for 30 years you really don't seem to "know the ropes". Where is the checkpoint on I-10?? Have they build another between Deming and Lordsburg? The facilty on 25 is not brand new, they added a truck and bus lane. Why did you call every doc in SFE and not Cruces? Hmmm Trained officers? Yeah trained to sit on there arses and tear up bad arse jeeps. My job affords me a bird's eye view of what they do on I-25 and yeah I use binoculars. They don't do sh*t. You are correct about the 25 check though it has certainly had a technological makeover. By the way what cartel runs both sides of the Borla? Seems like too many people watch Gangland too much. Agreed on DAC not being a good place, that was my question all along. Thanks for the input but don't brag about your 30 years and ropes. By the time I was 20 I knew how the game went in the Borla. Your age and time here don't mean jack. Feel free to respond in any manner you like. That is a big part of the problem with this, too much BS.

First let me say thank you for all the input. I don't want to dwell or seem slow however I am a little confused with the statements.

"There is a westbound check between Las Cruces and Deming. All paved roads leading away from Las Cruces have permanent, rip your car apart, checkpoints. There are 2 on NB 25,one open at a time. So Slayer and Bob are correct Cruces wouldn't make much sense."

So a farm in Lordsberge delivering to Deming or to Las Cruces does (of course mobile BP is always a possibility) have to go through a permanent check point? Yes or No?

In my mind that would be the way to go you could hit two semi and one heavily populated area.

However there is such a large population base in Las Cruces that that in it self should be enough of a customer base to grow (no pun intended) into with out trying to distribute product west.

As far a Cartels I do not think at this time they will think of the operation as a big threat. I mean they have a huge customer base while the producers only have 1K people for the whole state. My real concern would be robbery (perhaps from the Cartels) similar to what happened in California. Besides all they can do is beat me up, torture, and kill me. The Feds can lock me up and that would be worse than death it self.

While I admire your candidacy I am looking for Medicinal Marijuana users. This is a great privilege they are allowing and I do not want to even imply I am going to do something illegal.

Sounds like you need to grow your own. There are a lot of good videos on youtube that can help you accomplish this goal.

Also we must realize that it has to be economically feasible to maintain the business. There will be a lot of start up costs and continued expenses the largest will be Rent, Electric, Employees, and Taxes.

To think that this would be for pure fun is a fantasy it will have to be a business. A legal business as I do not want to go to jail or bring bad attention to a privilege so many have fought for.

At this point it is so much bigger than just catching a good buzz.
